Large Turquoise Blown Glass Asymmetrical "Ribbed" Vase by Blenko

About the Item

Asymmetrical Blenko vase with ribbed pattern, large in scale (H: 11" x L: 8" x D: 4") in attractive turquoise palette. The design's first and only appearance was in the 1966 Blenko catalog as model #6619. Uncommon example, only manufactured in short production. Striking color, nice, sculptural form, and impressive size. Features Blenko's signature pontil (also indicative of hand-blown glass, as opposed to mold blown). We have a second example listed separately (only slightly different in shape and size due to the hand-blown nature of the design). Works well as a companion piece. Listing is for the single vase.
